1. How to install the SONOFF Zigbee door/window contact sensor?
- ① Peel off the protective film from the 3M adhesive.
- ② Align the mounting marks on the sensor body (transmitter) and the magnet as closely as possible.
- ③ Stick them onto the two surfaces of the opening/closing area (e.g., a window or door frame).
*Note: Keep the gap between the sensor body and the magnet under 20 mm when the door/window is closed.
2. How to add the SNZB-04P Zigbee door/window sensor to Home Assistant?
You can easily add SNZB-04P to Home Assistant for your home automation through ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT.
3. How does the SNZB-04P door/window sensor detect the door or window status?
The SNZB-04P works as a magnetic door/window sensor, detecting door or window status based on the relative distance between the main sensor and the magnet. When they are separated or brought close together, it changes the state between "open" and "closed".
4. What is the feature of the tamper button on the SNZB-04P door/window sensor?
When an intruder removes both the sensor and the magnet simultaneously, the door sensor's open/close status will not change. However, the tamper button can detect the removal and trigger an intrusion alert. This can be used to activate a siren on the gateway and send a push notification via the app.
5. How do I add a SONOFF Zigbee door/window sensor to the SmartThings platform?
