1. What is the purpose of the tamper button?
When an intruder removes both the sensor and the magnet simultaneously, the door sensor’s open/close status will not change. However, the tamper button can detect the removal and trigger an intrusion alert. This can be used to activate a siren on the gateway and send a push notification via the app.
2. How do I connect the device to the SmartThings platform?
