It supports two independent channels with a total load of up to 16A. Based on Zigbee 3.0, it works seamlessly with Zigbee hubs and third-party platforms, enabling app control, voice commands, and scheduling. It also acts as a Zigbee repeater, with Turbo mode to strengthen and extend network coverage. The MINI DUO (Zigbee) is a compact dual-channel Zigbee 3.0 smart switch (supports up to 16A total load). It allows you to upgrade traditional wall switches into smart switches by connecting to a Zigbee gateway.
2. Does it require a hub or gateway?
Yes. The MINI DUO (Zigbee) must be connected to a Zigbee 3.0 compatible gateway (such as SONOFF ZBBridge Pro, SONOFF iHost).
3. Can it work as a Zigbee repeater?
Yes. The MINI DUO has built-in Zigbee router functionality, which strengthens and extends Zigbee network coverage.
4. Can I control two devices independently?
Yes. Each of the two channels can be controlled separately through the gateway app or external wall switches.
5. What is the maximum load supported?
The total load is 16A (combined for both channels). Ensure your connected devices stay within this limit.
6. Does it support curtain motor loads?
No. The MINI DUO (Zigbee) does not include interlock, motor calibration, or percentage adjustment functions, so it is not recommended for curtain motor control. For this scenario, we suggest using the SONOFF MINI-ZBRBS.
7. Can I use it without the internet?
Yes. As long as the MINI DUO is connected to your Zigbee gateway, you can control it locally without internet access. However, cloud services and remote access require the internet.
8. Does it support traditional wall switches?
Yes. It can be connected with existing wall switches for both manual and smart control.
9. Does it support voice control?
Yes. After adding the device to the eWeLink platform via a Zigbee gateway, you can bind eWeLink with third-party platforms (such as Alexa, Google Assistant, etc.) to enable voice control.
