SONOFF Zigbee Water Leak Sensor | SNZB-05P

Really impressed with this device for the price point. I've tried a few different leak sensors and these are just so simple to use, and the materials used are higher quality than the price would indicate. The plastics are almost "premium" quality. Very nicely manufactured and the surface finish is fantastic. The seal around the battery compartment is excellent quality silicon seal. It would keep the IP Rating for the long term. Pairing to Home Assistant using a SkyConnect dongle (SiLabs chipset) is perfect and worked first time with no issues. Detection speed is instant. The extension cables allowing multiple cables to be connected in line adds to the versatility by allowing multiple detection points on one sensor. Only one thing to note that is not 100% clear in the advertising. You need a minimum of two cables to get an extension point as the first one has to connect to the detector itself (means the detector no longer can detect water leaks with contacts facing down, but it could still detect drips. You need the second extension cable to act as that first detection point, as the extension cable is the two contacts, a hardwired interconnect cable and a connection socket on the probe point. That first cable connects to the detector, second cable will contain your first remote probe, from then on you can adda few if needed. I do have one sensor with 2 extension points (3 cables) to monitor a larger area with one sensor. It works out a little cheaper, and obviously uses one battery, but not a lot cheaper over using two actual leak sensors.

great product well made enclosure is safe tested and it works fine with the ewelink app. BUT it does not work with the Sonnoff Matter bridge "yet". hopefully it will be compatible with the sonnoff bridge soon.

sensore molto utile e indispensabile per chi sempre fuori casa non vuole ritrovarsi sorprese al rientro. Combinato con una valvola idrico smart la morte sua.

Uno dei sensori pi utili per luso casalingo, in accoppiamento con la valvola di blocco idrico evita brutte sorprese quando assenti da casa.
Non so 5 stelle perch trovo che andrebbe potenziato la radio del protocollo zigbee.
Il sensore fisiologicamente si posiziona in zone anguste che non sempre vengono raggiunte dalla copertura dellHub zigbee in una casa tipo, se non dedicato.
