1. What is the purpose of the tamper button?
When an intruder removes both the sensor and the magnet simultaneously, the door sensor’s open/close status will not change. However, the tamper button can detect the removal and trigger an intrusion alert. This can be used to activate a siren on the gateway and send a push notification via the app.
2. How do I connect the device to the SmartThings platform?
If you have a SONOFF gateway: First connect the device to the SONOFF gateway, then integrate it with SmartThings using the Cloud-to-Cloud method. For a detailed guide, visit:

It worked very well with the zigbee hub. I think it would be better if the mounting method with the door or window was improved. The 3M double tape solution is temporary. It may come off depending on environmental conditions.
Suggestion: Two types can be produced
Type (A) that can be fixed with double tape
Type (B) that can be fixed with screws
Fast & Does the Job, I bought the sensor for it's long battery life, and the speed which is operates. I use it for switchnig on lights as well as security. The trigger operates so fast, the lights come on instantly, I use Home Assistant. The tamper switch is a nice addition. Overall a simple device, but excellent in it's operation.
Much better than the previous version. These have hall effect sensors to better for distance from the magnet.
Great product, easy to setup. Would buy again!
