Zigbee Ecosystem Compatibility
2. Important : A pull request (#5298) adding full native support for the Sonoff S61SZBTPB (S61s Zigbee | Zigbee Smart Plug) in ZHA has been submitted to the Home Assistant HA repository. However, it has not yet been merged by the Home Assistant team. Until the PR is officially merged, some device capabilities may not be available through ZHA out of the box.
If you need complete functionality right away, you can manually configure the device using a script. Please refer to the SONOFF Help Center – S61SZBTPB Setup Note for detailed instructions and the required script. This also applies if you are using SmartThings.

- This function requires adding the device to the eWeLink app via the SONOFF Zigbee gateway and syncing it to third-party platforms through cloud-to-cloud integration.

1. Are smart plugs compatible with all electrical appliances?
Smart plugs work with most appliances that have a mechanical on/off switch, such as lights, fans and coffee makers.
2. Does the device need to be in the same room as Amazon Echo/Google Assistant?
No. The device is bound to the voice assistant through cloud-to-cloud integration. As long as the two accounts are paired and the devices online they can be controlled by the voice assistants anywhere.
3. Can I plug in a power strip to the smart plug?
It is not suggested to connect a power strip to a smart plug. In general, a plug has a smaller maximum load capacity than a power strip. Furthermore, overload devices(for the smart plug) can be easily attached to the power strip without awareness.It increases the risk of product damage.
4. Can S61SZBTPB work with voice assistants?
Yes. When the S61SZBTPB was added to the compatible SONOFF hub, and after binding a third-party account in the eWeLink app, voice control through a smart speaker will be enabled.
5. What is the repeater function?
S61SZBTPB functions as a Zigbee signal repeater, extending the range and improving the stability of your Zigbee network when powered on and connected.
6. Will this plug increase my electricity bill?
No. The plug itself consumes very little power (< 0.5W).
