1. Does Orb-ZBW2L support installation without a neutral wire?
Yes. Orb-ZBW2L is designed to work without a neutral wire, making it ideal for retrofit installations in most standard wall mounting boxes.
2. What types of loads are supported?
Orb-ZBW2L is compatible with the following load types:
- Incandescent lamps
- LED lamps
- Halogen lamps (excluding MLV low-voltage halogen)
- Compact fluorescent lamps (CFL)
3. What is the maximum load capacity of Orb-ZBW2L?
It supports dual-channel control with a total maximum load of 12A (combined for two loads).
4. Do I need to connect a flash suppression module (anti-flicker device)?
No. Orb-ZBW2L does not support external flash suppression modules. Connecting one may damage the device.
5. What is Binding?
"Binding" is a technology that enables two or more Zigbee devices to establish direct communication, allowing interaction without requiring a gateway as an intermediary. The Binding feature must be configured within Home Assistant.
6. Can Orb-ZBW2L work as a Zigbee router/repeater (relay device)?
No. Orb-ZBW2L is designed as a Zigbee end device, not a router. To minimize power consumption and prevent light flickering, it uses a low-power design and does not relay Zigbee signals to other devices.
