Important: A pull request (#5234) adding full native support for the Sonoff TRV-ZBT (TRV Gen2) in ZHA has been submitted to the Home Assistant ZHA repository. However, it has not yet been merged by the Home Assistant team. Until the PR is officially merged, some device capabilities may not be available through ZHA out of the box.
If you need complete functionality right away, you can manually configure the device using a script. Please refer to the SONOFF Help Center – TRV-ZBT Setup Note for detailed instructions and the required script. This also applies if you are using Smart.Things.

1. Turn on “Switch” to enter Manual Mode; turning it off will enter Anti-Freeze OFF Mode. To switch to Automatic Mode, double-click the device's physical button to change the mode.
2. Note: If connected to HA or other non-eWeLink platforms: Wake device → short-press button → long-press 5s within 3s for BLE pairing. Add to eWeLink via BLE to unlock more features. Data remains intact, third-party connection persists, dual-platform simultaneous access supported.

2. What is the battery life of the device?
The device uses two AA alkaline batteries with a capacity of 2,000 mAh each. Under normal use, the battery life can last up to 6 months. Actual battery life may vary depending on factors such as valve adjustment frequency, battery quality, ambient temperature, and network stability. Network instability that causes the device to frequently search for a network or attempt to reconnect will increase power consumption.
3. Can rechargeable batteries be used?
AA rechargeable batteries (e.g., nickel-metal hydride) have a voltage of only 1.2V. When two are connected in series, the voltage is slightly higher than the minimum operating voltage of the device, but even fully charged, they cannot maintain long-term use.
